  • About Me  - Eric Smith has had the pleasure of living in several major cities, spread out across the western United States. This has played a huge role in his musical training as he has been taught by people that range from well established piano teachers, to world renowned classical pianists in his new home city of San Antonio. Eric has been featured on the CBS affiliate of the greater San Antonio region (KENS-TV), in which the media outlet stated him to be a prodigy. Soon thereafter, Eric shared the stage with the legendary & Grammy award winning William Warfield, in an adaptation of a famous operetta. Smith has been composing music since he was a child, and some of his newer compositions can be found on this site. When asked what his goals are regarding his music, Smith replied:

    "[Music] is the official language of the entire world. It has been helpful in promoting many of the positive aspects that life has to offer, such as peace, love, and unity. It has also been used in the form of high octane hatred against ethnicity, creed, and religion. Hatred is a misguided, ignorant, and extremely dangerous emotion...because passion (among other things) can usually be found at the root. The thing about passion is that it is somewhat like a basic molecular building block in each of us that has the potential ability to bond with anything and anyone. My intentions are to have at least one person that listens to my music feel inspired enough to become more passionate about living to love life."


    Smith added:

    "The reminiscent sound of vintage-type clarity in the Quadrivium EP is not a mistake. Beyond composing the lyrics and music for this album, I also recorded, mixed & mastered each song without any outside studio involvement. This approach is intended to give anyone who chooses to listen to this EP a more realistic, organic first impression of me as a musician."

    Here are some other things you might like to know about me: *** A woman with a great sense of humor is my weakness *** My favorite type of food is Italian, although Tex-Mex usually hits the spot *** I live for concerts, and when they are outside, and it is raining...that is still alright with me. It adds a bit of memorable romance and magic to the event. It is still fun when it is sunny *** I love my family. They are the most supportive people anyone could ask for while growing up *** I own music for every mood that I have experienced *** Each song that I compose is from personal experience, and I absolutely love when someone can apply my songs to their individual existence ***

  • Favorite Shows & Movies - *** I enjoy the shows Entourage, Scrubs, 24, Futurama, The Daily Show, and The Colbert Report, to name a few. *** A good new movie is hard to find these days to me, maybe a few come out in a year. A great new movie is virtually impossible to find. ***
  • Favorite Books - Biographies/Autobiographies, because everyone has a story to tell.

  • Interests  - Living life to the fullest, however cliche that may sound. I love to love, and never hate...but I *can* dislike.
